Born along the legendary Highway 61 in Minnesota, Cobi’s roots as a vocalist run deep. A young blues guitar prodigy, he began performing in clubs and spent countless nights playing in smoky bars across the U.S. The endless roads of his homeland eventually led him to Los Angeles, record deal with a major label in hand. The first to recognize his potential was Lyor Cohen, then co-president of Def Jam Recordings. Cobi’s debut single “Don’t You Cry for Me” shot straight to the top of the global Spotify charts and reached #1 on SiriusXM Spectrum Radio.

Following the release of his bluesy debut EP “Songs From The Ashes Pt.1” in 2017, Cobi returned in 2022 and again in 2023 with two albums—“Songs From The Ashes” and “Love In The Wildwood”—showcasing his ability to write music infused with rock, soul, and electronic influences. A true natural talent, the American artist is beginning to make a name for himself on the other side of the Atlantic.

During his stay in Paris in the spring of 2023, Cobi recorded the first tracks of his new album “Sugar Man” at the iconic Studio Ferber. Co-produced between Los Angeles and Paris, the EP drifts between sun-soaked indie rock and swooning pop.
